Friday December 18, 2009 The new issue of Spellcraft magazine is out, and it's a magical summery extravaganza. There are stories on ritual dining, feasts and festivals, and a feature by Lucy Cavendish on how the faeries party. For this issue I wrote about the enchanted story of Alice in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, and the real-life locations in the English town of Oxford that inspired the tale. Lewis (real name Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) was a uni student and later a teacher at this famous university town, which has also inspired Philip Pullman, JRR Tolkien and JK Rowling... You can find out more about Spellcraft magazine here, and read my story here.
