With thanks...
This week I am grateful for time with my beloved, getting lots of work done, and those who have sponsored me for the 40 Hour Famine...
With thanks... Sunday August 29...
Today I am grateful for a lovely sunshiney morning...
For getting a bit of work done before going to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D, and spending a bit of time with my faery friend Viv and her little princess Serafina...
I am grateful for the brisk walk home in the warm sunshine and cool breeze...
I am so glad I got so much work done in the afternoon (although there's always more, sigh)...
And I am grateful for a beautiful night with my beloved, snuggling on the couch, watching magical Merlin, drinking tea and chattering into the night...
With thanks... Monday August 30...
Today I am grateful that I got so much work done. And it's been really interesting re-reading my first book, which I haven't really looked at for two years...
I am not so grateful that my stupid head has been plaguing me all day...
I am grateful for a sweet email from my aunty, and glad I got the phone call to the nasty scooter man over with...
And I am grateful for a few hours with my beautiful love, after he had to stay back at work...
With thanks... Tuesday August 31...
Today I am grateful that my beloved met me in town after work, so we could have our little dinner ritual and walk home together hand in hand in the cool night air, marvelling at the huge shiny thing in the sky (Venus?)...
I am grateful for a productive day on Disney Playhouse magazine, despite being plagued by another migraine...
I am grateful for the chiropractor (I guess!), for putting my rib back into place (I didn't realise they went out!), and trying to sort out my neck. Lots of "homework" before I see him again next week...
And I am grateful for lovely messages from a friend...
With thanks... Wednesday September 1...
Today I am grateful for a few hours with my beloved in the morning, before we both had to go to work...
I am grateful that I was super productive - and intrigued that of all the chapters in Seven Sacred Sites it was only Stonehenge, the oldest of them all, that required an update :-)
I am grateful for a long chat with my sister, a small chat with her kids, and emails and texts with Margie for her birthday (couldn't get through to France via phone)...
And I am so grateful and so amused, and now so hopeful, because Treasury found a discrepancy of up to eleven BILLION dollars in Tony Abbott's election promises costings, proving (again) that he is a liar and shouldn't trusted to run the country! xx
With thanks... Thursday September 2...
Today I am grateful for a day off with my beloved (although I did do a bit of work here and there)...
I am grateful for a quick catch up with lovely Lucy and some Faery Magic stuff...
I am grateful that one of the Independents, concerned by the revelations of Tony Abbott's lying, cost blow outs and a $1 million attempted bribe, has agreed to back Labour in a minority government...
I am grateful for a cosy night in, reading, drinking tea, watching NCIS, chatting...
And I am grateful for the debate that raged on my FB page - will check it out tomorrow :-) xx
With thanks... Friday September 3...
Today I am grateful that my love came into town to meet me after work, so we could walk home together in the softly falling almost-rain...
I am glad I took a lunchbreak, and spent it at Gloria Jeans drinking soy chai and reading over the Uluru chapter from Seven Sacred Sites - it reminded me of when I was writing the book, and would spend all my lunch times there, scribbling notes and editing pages and working madly, every minute, to get it finished...
And I am grateful for a cosy night with Cutes, snuggled up on the couch while the rain fell softly outside...
With thanks... Saturday September 4...
Today I am grateful for a cosy morning with my beloved, listening to the rain fall gently outside, until we both had to get to work...
I am grateful for the beautiful pendant that my faery friend Cheralyn Darcy made me, and her kindness and generosity, and the amazing art she creates through transforming recycled material into treasure...
I am grateful that I got so much work done, and that Seven Sacred Sites will soon be available in the US...
I am grateful to my sweet friend Pixywings :-)
And I am grateful for a fascinating discussion on my FB page, and the passion - and compassion - and eloquence of all my friends. Lots of different opinions are being shared, and while there's no right or wrong answer, it's fascinating to read all the different points of view...
With thanks... Sunday September 5...
Today I am grateful for a day spent working at a gentle, relaxed pace, getting Seven Sacred Sites ready while also spending some time visiting my faery friends (in Fairyland, not the real world), replying to friends' emails and catching up on stuff...
I am grateful that I can now dive back in to my next project...
And I am grateful for a long chat with Dad, and grateful, this Father's Day, for my dad, for always being so supportive and encouraging, for being so sensible and yet seeing the value in my crazy schemes for what they are worth, not what they will cost money-wise, for encouraging me to follow my dreams, even when it meant moving so far from home, for living his life the way he has and following his passion, despite derision, and for having created his perfect life - living with Mum in their beautiful little corner of the south west, surfing every day, having no debt because it took 10 years to build their house, as they waited to afford the next pile of wood - frustrating for a teenage me, but I appreciate its wisdom now :-) I am so grateful for both my parents, and the rest of my family, and I do know how blessed I am to have them...
